Along with its two crescents of white sandy beach, the resort will feature the debut of the first Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in China, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Located on the prized east coast near Wanning, the resort will offer 244 guestrooms and 14 private villas.
Just a short speedboat ride away, secluded islands such as Dazhou and Jiajiang are famed for their scuba and watersports.
The resort will be nestled in the famed Dongshan Ridge, which is known as the First Mountain of Hainan with the oldest Buddhist temples in the province.
The location is also close to several natural hot springs and nature trails leading to ancient tropical rainforests.
